Most Common Questions

What if I haven’t been to church in a long time?

Not a problem! In fact, we don’t care if you've never been to church. Each weekend, many people visit Royal Redeemer for the first time. Our worship services are easy to follow and don’t require that you have any past church experience.

What should I wear?

Wear whatever makes you feel comfortable. Most people dress very casually for Contemporary worship and in business or business casual attire for Traditional worship. We’re pretty sure what you wear doesn’t matter to God, so it doesn’t to us either.

What if I'm not Lutheran?

While Royal Redeemer is a Missouri Synod Lutheran church, we welcome all people seeking to grow in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Being Lutheran isn’t nearly as important as simply having a heart to seek Christ. If you want to learn more about Lutheran doctrine, that’s an option. But it’s certainly not a requirement for attending.

Will there be Communion? Should I participate?

We offer Holy Communion at all services on first and third weekends of the month. We’d love to have you participate if you are a baptized Christian who affirms that Jesus is your Savior and Lord, and that He is truly present in the bread and wine, offering His Body and Blood for the forgiveness of your sins.

Students at Royal Redeemer begin participating in Holy Communion as 9th graders, after they’ve attended 7th and 8th grade Confirmation classes.

Everyone is invited to come forward for a blessing whether or not they’re communing. If you come forward for a blessing only, place a finger on your lips as the bread and wine are distributed.
