What is Realm? Realm is a REAL Ministry tool.
Realm is an online ministry tool designed for real-time connection with our members. It helps us connect with each other. Realm allows you to manage your personal information and who is allowed to see it, control your giving, register for worship, small groups, and events, and keep in touch with our news and the groups that matter the most to you.

Why use Realm? Realm strengthens church connections.
Being the church doesn’t just happen at the church. Realm helps us stay connected between Sundays. It engages everyone in the life of our church by supporting the healthy relationships essential to our church’s mission – exchanging everyday life for contagious Christian community. Church leaders will stay organized, and you’ll stay informed about all of the opportunities for fellowship.

What about my privacy? Realm is safe, private, and secure.
Your privacy is one of our greatest concerns. Realm is only made up of the members in our church, it’s not like a social network that’s open to everyone. Realm keeps your data safe and gives you control over what information you share and who can see it.

What about giving? Realm gives you control over your giving.
Giving should be easy, and Realm places giving right in the palm of your hands. You may set up recurring gifts, view your giving history, and make changes at any time. Realm automatically records all electronic gifts and adds them to your giving record making it easy for you to give, and easy for our bookkeeper to track.

Realm App Guide
Once you have accepted your email invitation, you may download the Realm Connect App on your mobile device. Once you download the app, please click “I ALREADY HAVE AN ACCOUNT” at the bottom of the screen and use the email/password you created.

Your Invitation Email
If you’re an active member at Royal Redeemer, and haven’t received an invite yet, email [email protected] to let us know.

Your Personalized Link
Near the bottom of your invitation email, you will find a personalized link. Click this link to claim your profile and get started.

Set up a password
First, you will be prompted to set up a password. We strongly recommend choosing a password that is unique to this account. If you are having trouble setting up a password, please check to be sure it meets Realm’s password criteria.

Verify your email
After setting up your password, you will receive a second email from Realm. This will verify your email for security reasons. Click the link to verify your email and you will be taken to your Realm account. You may be asked to verify your birth date as well.

Please note that each individual (excluding children) will need to claim their own individual profile using an email unique to them. (Family members will need to have separate email addresses for login purposes.) 

Realm is dependent on three important pieces of information:

• Your email address (preferably an email address for each person in your household)
• Your birthdate (including the year)
• Your mobile number (or home number if you do not have a mobile phone)

Updating your profile: mobile view

1. Click More (…) from the bottom menu.
2. Click Profile.

Updating your profile: desktop view

1. Log in to Realm.
2. Click your name in the upper right corner.
3. Click My Profile.
4. Click Edit.
5. Make sure you click the 2nd tab named, “Personal Info”

Please take a moment to be sure the information associated with your profile is correct and up to date.

How to view your profile: mobile view

1. On your mobile device or tablet, tap the hamburger menu at the top left corner of your screen.
2. At the bottom of the expanded menu, you will see a circle with your initials in it. Tap this circle.
3. At the top of the expanded menu, tap My Profile. This will take you to your profile page. On your profile page, you can select the Edit tool to make changes or add the missing information.

How to view your profile: desktop view

1. On your computer, at the top right corner of the screen, next to the search bar, you will see your first name. Click here.
2. After you click on your name, a dropdown menu will appear. At the top of the dropdown menu, select My Profile. On your profile page, you can select the Edit tool to make changes or add the missing information.

Your privacy settings determine whether you appear in the online directory. Scroll down to the FAQs to learn more about Realm and privacy.

Privacy settings: mobile view

1. On your mobile device or tablet, tap the hamburger menu at the top left corner of your screen.
2. At the bottom of the expanded menu, you will see a circle with your initials in it. Tap this circle.
3. At the top of the expanded menu, tap Manage Privacy.
4. Now you are on the Manage Privacy screen. By selecting Anyone in the church, your profile will be visible to other parishioners in both the online & print directory. On mobile view, this can be accomplished by selecting Custom Privacy and then Anyone/Anyone.

2. After you click on your name, a dropdown menu will appear. At the top of the dropdown menu, select Manage Privacy.
3. Now you are on the Manage Privacy screen. By selecting Anyone in the church, your profile will be visible to other parishioners in both the online & print directory.

With every new improvement there is sure to be a learning curve! At Royal Redeemer we are all in this together to learn our new database system, Realm. As time goes on we will get to introduce more new features that will improve our communication, streamline worship sign ups and more!
