WHAT TO EXPECT

YOU'RE WELCOME AS YOU ARE

When you arrive for a worship service at Royal Redeemer, the friendly folks at our Welcome Center will be happy to greet you. So will our staff members and board members — those people walking around with official-looking name tags. And so will members of our Royal Redeemer family, many who are second- and third-generation members.

They can help direct you to a worship service, Redeemer Kids check-in, or the pizza or doughnuts in the Gathering Room, or wherever else you need to go!

If you’re visiting for the first time, don’t forget to pick up a guest bag from one of our Welcome Centers, from us to you.

WHAT IF I HAVEN'T BEEN TO CHURCH IN A LONG TIME?

Not a problem! In fact, we don’t care if you’ve never been to church. Each weekend, many people visit Royal Redeemer for the first time. Our worship services are easy to follow and don’t require that you have any past church experience.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Wear whatever makes you feel comfortable. Most people dress casually for Contemporary worship and in business or business casual attire for Traditional worship.

WHAT IF I'M NOT LUTHERAN?

Royal Redeemer is part of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. We welcome all people seeking to grow in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Being Lutheran isn’t nearly as important as simply having a heart to seek Christ. If you want to learn more about the Lutheran doctrine, we encourage you to do so. But it’s certainly not a requirement for attending.

WILL THERE BE COMMUNION? SHOULD I PARTICIPATE?

We offer Holy Communion at all services on the first and third weekends of the month. We’d love to have you participate if you are a baptized Christian who affirms that Jesus is your Savior and Lord, and that He is truly present in the bread and wine, offering His Body and Blood for the forgiveness of your sins.

Students begin participating in Holy Communion as 9th graders, after they’ve attended 7th and 8th grade Confirmation classes.

Everyone is invited to come forward for a blessing whether or not they’re communing. If you come forward for a blessing only, place a finger on your lips as the bread and wine are distributed.

WHAT DO YOU OFFER THE CHILDREN?

At Royal Redeemer your children are a top priority. Our nursery is clean, safe, and staffed with loving workers. We offer a dynamic children’s ministry as well as life-changing ministry to students from junior high through college.
